LA LISTA: RIVELATO IL GRUPPO GAMEJOURNOPROS

Nello scorso articolo, Breitbart News ha rivelato la mailing list segreta usata da un gruppo di influenti scrittori, editori e blogger, alcuni dei quali hanno perfino cercato di dar noia ai propri colleghi per non aver sostenuto la loro agenda a scopi politici.
E oggi questa lista ve la riveliamo al completo: ci sono circa 150 figure chiave. Si va da personaggi che lavorano a Polygon, Ars Technica, WIRED, Eurogamer, Destructoid, Kotaku, Joystiq, TechRadarr e altro ad altri marchi ben noti nel publishing dei videogiochi.
Ma ci sono anche nomi di freelance e staff di pubblicazioni più diffuse come Associated Press, CNBC e USA Today assieme a alti nomi dell'industria come Motherboard, di proprietà di VICE, VentureBeat e perfino CNet.
Cosa anche più sgradevole, Tom Curtis, marketer di Ubisoft, e Bill Shibley, community manger di Destiny per Activision, sono presenti nella lista, cosa che ci fa iniziare a chidere quanti altri potrebbero esserlo; quanti altri soggetti degli articoli sono in una mailing list segreta in diretto contatto con chi questi articoli li scrive.
Mercoledì vi abbiamo mostrato alcune mail che dimostravano quanto fosse diffuso il fallimento etico da parte di alcune figure giornalistiche di spicco. Queste e-mail sono la prova, dicevamo, di quanto sia urgente una riforma.
Queste nuove informazioni mostrano quanto in avanti si estende l'influenza di GameJournoPros sin da quando sono nati per mano di Kyle Orland quattro anni fa. Suggerisce che i lettori hanno tutto il diritto di preoccuparsi riguardo la possibilità di una coordinazione ideologica all'interno di dozzine di testate differenti.
Sebbene non tutti i giornalisti presenti nella lista siano da considerarsi complici di questi conflitti d'interesse, così come molti sono stati visti esprimersi direttamente in disaccordo con i discorsi fatti e le tattiche da attivisti dei colleghi, la loro continua partecipazione alle discussione lascia aperto il dubbio.
Inoltre un membro della lista, assente da quelli riportati qua sotto e a condizione di rimanere anonimo, ci ha detto: "Non scrivo nulla, ma leggo tutto quasi religiosamente. E sì, vieni influenzato da ciò che dicono Ben [Kuchera] e gli altri. Dopotutto sono pezzi grossi. Ti fa ripensare a come frasare ogni singola espressione."
Questa lista è stata fornita da un membro del gruppo insoddisfatto. Abbiamo contattato Orland per ricevere commenti in merito, ma non ha risposto. Un piccolo numero di nomi minori, al fine di non poter tracciare l'identità dei collaboratori, è stato rimosso.
